Hi all,

I had a routine visit the doctors yesterday and he took my blood pressure. It was 126/73. I know that would be a good reading for many of you, but it was high for me. I am usually around 110/65.

Of course I put it down to the good old ‘white-coat’ effect and ignored the higher reading. Or maybe not!

If you missed it, I posted a news story this morning on a new study that showed that occasional spikes in blood pressure due to the ‘white-coat’ effect or ‘masked’ hypertension, can increase the risk for sustained high blood pressure.

I’ll be monitoring my blood pressure more often and keeping away from those white-coats.  Smiley
