Support Forum Topic: What about software to monitor unwanted weight loss?

i am a diabetic with other concurrent conditions. . due to this,  i have involuntarily lost 14 kilos of muscle mass.  I have been using my health software but the weight monitoring software is primarily geared towards weight loss,  not gain.  i would like to see this option addressed in a future version of your software.

Some people lose too much weight due to illness or other causes..  It would be nice of my weight sofware could be given an option to change from a weight loss perspective, to a weight gain one,  with the same goals options.  Although i can use the software charting to monitor my weight gain, the reports are designed to present a projection of weight loss and are not adequate to present an accurate picture of a weight gain program.

There are a lot of us out here who would benefit greatly from a future version of my weight software that offers both options.

Warmly,  Richard , too skinny in Brisbane Australia.

I am very interested in making My Weight more useful for people who need to gain weight.

If you have not seen it already, you can set the target weight above your current weight/baseline weight, and My Weight will display projections from the baseline weight up to the target weight.

To do this, click on the “View charts” task, and then make sure the “Weight” tab is selected.

To move the target, either click on the “Change” link next to “Target” in the right hand sidebar, or click on the green target horizontal line on the chart, and drag it up or down.

You will see that if you drag the target above your baseline weight, the projections will flip from showing “Lose” projections to showing “Gain” projections.

As I mentioned above, I am very interested in improving My Weight, and making it more useful for both people who need to gain or lose weight. Any ideas or suggestions that you have would be very welcomed!

    Steve

thanks! I realized that by changing the options the projections and goals do change and it is possible to use the program for weight gain monitoring. these programs are very helpful. I send reports to my doctor and he has expressed how impressed he is about their accuracy and the sophistication of the reporting choices.

    Again thanks!
