Support Forum Topic: Trend charts

I was asked the following question by email:

> Is it possible to create a custom chart
> that shows Blood pressure “Trend” over a particular time period.
>  Eliminating the highest highs and the lowest lows, so that the
> “trend” line is almost straight?

While it is not possible to do this in a custom chart, it is possible to setup the “Average” chart to show something similar to what you are asking for.

To see this, click on the “View charts” task, then click on the “Averages” tab. At the top of the chart, click on the “Style” link and select “Line”. Also click on the “Average” link and select a larger period such as “Seasonal Average” or “Yearly Average”. Try various periods to see which gives you the best impression of a trend (as this will depend on how far back you have entered readings).

    Hi Steve,

    Good tip, thanks! Creating a “Seasonal Average Chart” shows the average
    directional information that can be useful to view, i.e. is my blood pressure and pulse
    rate, rising or falling over time.
