The eagerly awaited and most anticipated operating system since windows Vista arrive on the 22nd of October 2009, I have already ordered my copy of Windows 7 Ultimate and will be getting my copy on the 22nd October. The main question I have as being a registered user of my INR has it been tested on Windows 7 because I will be changing over to Windows 7 when it comes out. The great thing about Windows Vista and with Windows 7 it’s backwards compatible, but it would mean you would have to put a shadow copy for Windows Vista or Windows XP. I just looked at the structure of the software, and it writes everything to Program Files (x86) which basically means it runs as a 32-bit software, therefore it might run with Windows 7 because Windows 7 is the same backwards compatible… but with the added bonus of virtual XP? Which basically means you can run a virtual Windows XP within Windows 7 which I have seen and used and its most impressive.
As an Anticoagulant patient and need to use this to monitor and track my weekly results I need this program, otherwise I will have to dual boot Windows Vista and Windows 7 just to use MyINR which will be a little bit of a pain.
Another question, With my data being backed up when I uninstall and reinstall I can download the backups back to my INR, I haven’t looked into this as of yet but would imaging that would be the case.
I hope I haven’t blown your brain with my question.
