Support Forum Topic: My Blood Pressure: Any way to customize X axis (time)?

Hello, I’m trying out MBP and it looks real good, but I’ve got a question about the displayed values along the date-time axis.

I’m currently in a period where I need to monitor my BP closely, so I take many readings in a day. I’d really like to be able to see something more useful than 24 hour intervals on the x axis (when zoomed). Would be really good to have the ability to show at least 6-hour spacings. I hope this makes sense, as many folks have a fluctuation during the day. Splitting the day up logically into 2 morning periods and 2 afternoon periods would make the 24 hour pattern easy to see, especially relative to the working day or mealtimes, etc.

Is this possible at all? I’m new to the program so may be missing something that’s already there…?

Cheers

    Hi radiocam,

    > Would be really good to have the ability to show at least 6-hour spacings.

Try clicking on the “Change Dates” link at the bottom of the chart, then clicking on “Show Last Day”. That should display the chart with 3 hour spaces between the markers. Once you have done that, you can then use the up and down arrow keys to move the chart back and forward in time.

The above assumes that you are using the latest version of My Blood Pressure. If you click on the “Help” menu, then click on “About My Blood Pressure” you can find the version number. If you see “v 3.0″ you are using the latest version. If you see “v 2.11″ or less, you are using the old version. If you are using the old version, please see the following webpage to upgrade: http://www.my-blood-pressure.com/what-is-new.html

    Hope this helps!

    Steve,

Thanks for the quick reply. That’s great – v3.00 seems to have a lot more to it.
Of course, now I’m going to push you guys even more and ask for the ability to enter custom start and end dates, so I can look at the detail over the last “x” days rather than one day or a week. (Your users don’t ask for much, do they? :-)

But I’ve dabbled with graph drawing code routines and know its not an easy ask, so I’ll just leave that on the table as my wish list item. For now, thanks again for the prompt response – pleasant change from firms that I’ve contacted recently….
    All the best,
    Cheers

That is one thing you could do in v2 that you can not in v3. By clicking and dragging the dates left and right (or using the arrow keys) you can get close to a specific start and end date, but there is no way to enter a specific start and end date in a dialog. I have taken a note of this suggestion for a future version.

    Thanks!
