A recent support request asked:

> me to take my ACE inhibitor twice a day instead of once a day.
> Can I go back and do AM and PM graphs of all my readings?

Yes. My Blood Pressure has a built in custom chart that separately plots your AM and PM readings. You can view and print this chart for your Doctor.

To do this, click on the “View charts” task, then click on the “Custom” tab. Then, if the “AM vs PM” custom chart is not already being displayed, click on the “Manage custom charts” task, then select “AM vs PM” in the list, and then click on “Show chart”.

Once you are viewing the chart you can click on the “Print chart…” task to print it. Or, if you click on the “Print report…” task while viewing the chart, that chart will be included in the printed report.

If the chart is not setup the way you want, you can copy it and then edit it. To do this, click on the  “Manage custom charts” task, and then click on “AM vs PM” to select it. Click on the “Copy the chart” task to copy it and edit it.

This will open the “Chart Builder” dialog on the copy of the “AM vs PM” chart. You can give the chart a new name. Also, right click on the various entries in the “Chart Layout” section to move the parts of the chart around or to delete unwanted parts.

Unfortunately there is no way to include average plots in the custom charts.

I agree that there should be a way to do what you were trying to do, and I am planning to add the ability to do this in a future major version release.

Not in a chart. However you can include AM/PM averages in the printed report using “Groups”.

To do this, click on the “Study readings” task and then click on the “Groups” tab. You should already see some groups listed including a “All AM readings” group and a “All PM readings” group.

You can add a couple more groups to give your Doctor a more recent overview of your AM/PM readings, and to see any recent changes in your AM/PM reading averages.

To do this, click on the “Add new group…” task. This will open the “Reading Group” dialog. Click on the “Date filter” link and choose “Enter number of days back..”. Enter say 15. Then click on the “Time filter” link and choose “AM Readings only”. Click the “OK” button to add the group.

Repeat the above steps for PM (and possibly for 30 days if you wish).

The averages for these groups will be included (by default) in the printed report (If they are not, make sure you check the “Include averages groups” checkbox on the second page of the report wizard).
