Blood pressure medications

I came across this great video which explains how the different medications work on the heart and arteries to lower blood pressure.

With more people taking multiple medications to help lower blood pressure in different ways, I thought this video does a great job of explaining how they all work.

It also describes the common side effects of the medications and options to avoid them.

The medications covered in the video are:

• ACE inhibitors (Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitors)
• ARB drugs (Angiotensin II Receptor Blockers)
• Beta-blockers
• Alpha-blockers
• Calcium-channel blockers
