I don’t want to use the “Locker” at this time so could anyone tell me how to do a normal backup with version 3?
I looked in the help files but I don’t understand what it says???

Thanks for your help!

  1. Steve says:

    Hi rshew,

The short answer is to backup the “[Documents]\My BP\” folder. This will typically be done automatically by most backup utilities, which backup the “[Documents]‘ folder, and all its subfolders.

My Blood Pressure (or any of the new programs) will automatically backup user files each month (assuming they are modified in that month) and store those backup files in the “[Documents]\My BP\Backup Files\” folder.

A user’s readings and settings are stored in a file in the “[Documents]\My BP\” folder. The name of that file is “MyBP_[Username].xml”. Simply copying that file to another location will backup all your readings and settings. To restore the backup, copy that file back to the “[Documents]\My BP\” folder and open the “Manage Users” dialog, and switch to the “All Users” tab.

The bottom line is that if you backup your computer’s documents, your My Blood Pressure readings will automtically be backed up as well.
