Support Forum Topic: Is there a way to buy muliple programs?

I need to display weight hips waist and blood pressure – ideally INR as well.

Can additional items be added seems a pity not to have hip / waist ration and BMI as options.

Could get very lucrative for you if the data can be combined as it would mean 5 times the fees.
My blood my hips my INR my cholest etc my running log my workout log my stretching / flexibility log

But I want to avoid different data here and there

Is there a way to add functionality of the different programs and display in one place.

I love the program and it is only the insistence of the program to round pounds to whole values.
That is just crazy – moving averages a la hackers diet or physicsdiet but not round the whole pound.

I might have misunderstood as option or something but it seemed 70.1 kg was OK 155.4 lbs was not OK.
In the Uk we typically use stone (14 pounds to a stone) but that is a wish list thing!

Love the program but just wondered about the pound thing and displaying multiple data sources.

Cheers Chris

    Hi Chris,

    > Re: Is there a way to buy multiple programs?

We are currently running a special where users of My Blood Pressure can buy our newer programs at a discount. I will email you the details.

In My Weight, BMI is calculated and used to create the background colors of the chart, from red to green. In addition, it is also used to determine which icons are used next to each weight reading when you click “View entries”.

For the next version, I am considering adding an extra column (in the “View entries” list) that shows BMI. As for the hip/waist ratio, we came to the conclusion that most of the major health bodies were recommending that simply monitoring waist size is more effective than waist to hip ratio. However, I will look into this again to see if there is anything we can do.

Our main goal is to keep each program as simple as possible to use. I know that programs exist that attempt to track everything one could possibly want, but I think they are more complex programs to use. When we started work on the new version of My Blood Pressure, our original idea was to include weight. However it became clear that this would make the user interface more compkicated than I had first thought. Basically any time something was saved/exported/printed/sorted/added/viewed/imported we would need to have a setting, or ask the user an additional question about whether to include weight or not. Multiply that by 100 for all the possible things that someone may want included, and it soon becomes a program that only a Doctor could use Smiley

Using the “Custom Charts” feature, each of our programs can include the plots of any of the other programs. So you can create a custom chart that overlays weight and blood pressure for example.

I agree. This will be fixed in a bug fix version. I don’t have a firm date for release as yet, but it should be before late march. The plan is to offer 3 more options; pounds to one decimal place, stones and whole pounds, stones and pounds to one decimal place.

    Thanks for your feedback!

    Thanks for the rapid feedback.

Glad it was a bug – from the complexity point of view think of it as an interface and plugins.
Still keep it simple for everyday use.
But allow users to tweak it with good instructions or as a Pro service for support!

I really need that decimal point in pounds – will beta test if that is helpful!

    Cheers Chris

    Hi Chris,

I will keep thinking about ways to do this, but it will be a long term project, not something that I could do or release quickly.

Thanks! … I will be in touch before too long.

Yes, we have decided to offer the same special in the next My Blood Pressure newsletter (should be out late April/May), so it is still available for existing My Blood Pressure users.

I have emailed you the link.

    Thanks! Steve

(PS: If any other My Blood Pressure users read this and want the special price, please email me at steve@my-blood-pressure.com )
