I’ve just reviewed 2 new studies on high fructose corn syrup. One has provided the first evidence that high fructose corn syrup increases blood pressure. I felt it was important to share this one, especially for those who have high blood pressure!
This study adds to the evidence that consuming soda with high fructose corn syrup can cause harm. We know it can contribute to obesity and now hypertension.
I also know that this topic is controversial. In Australia the food and drink manufacturers don’t use as much fructose as they do in America, so I am not as familiar with fructose as many of you.
I avoid soda and it’s empty caloires, but after reading the studies will also be avoiding it due to it’s affect on my blood pressure. What about you?
