Tom Messer – monitoring blood pressure after heart surgery. Tom is 63, lives in Texas, USA and had bypass surgery in January 2004. Since then he has been home monitoring his blood pressure, and was able to spot one incident when it went up to 226/119.

My Blood Pressure Medication
I am currently taking an enormous amount (IMO!) of drugs for my high blood pressure. My doctor has told me that if I keep monitoring my readings, and they stay low, I will be able to come off some of them soon.

2* 50mg Betaloc (metoprolol) per day
1* 8mg Coversyl (Perindopril) per day
