Support Forum Topic: Adding notes to chart

Adding a note to various readings on the charts would be a handy function. i.e. so we can see why a peak or trough occurred if known etc. This would be handy especially when we show docs a printout of the chart as it would save us writing notes on the various chart points. Thanks

    Hi Pete,

I agree that this would be a useful feature and I have taken a note of your suggestion for a future version.

While not exactly what you are looking for, you can use the “Event” system to mark certain readings/dates on the chart (and in the printed report).

In case you are not aware of how events work, you can add an event by clicking on the “Study readings…” task, and then clicking on the “Events” tab, and then clicking on “Add new event…”. This will open the “Add New Event” dialog as seen in the screenshot below:

You can enter a date, name of the event, a description, an icon, and optionally an end date.

The icon is displayed on the chart (see the green dot in the screenshot below), and the event’s name and description will be printed under the chart in the report.

Hope this helps and thanks for the suggestion and feedback!
